Bruce has officiated numerous World Title Match with Ric Flair, and once caused a riot when he was knocked out during a title match between Flair and the late Wahoo McDaniel. It appeared as if Bruce had counted to 3 and the house lights went on, the ring announcer even announced Wahoo as the winner before Bruce's ruling, but Bruce got to his feet, still groggy from the fall and continued the match citing the Flair had kicked out at the last second.
